This is a place for people who detail cars for a living to talk to each other.

Not a place to be sold to. Not a place for brands to run campaigns. Not a  
place where the loudest Instagram account wins. A place where you can ask what  
something should cost, say that a product you paid good money for is  
disappointing, or admit you have no idea how to price a job — and get a  
straight answer from somebody who has actually done it.

**Who this is for:** working detailers. Solo operators, mobile guys, shop  
owners, people with three trucks and a crew, people who started last month.  
If you do this work for money, or you’re seriously trying to, you belong here.

**What’s here:**

- **Pricing and Profit** — rates, quoting, upsells, what the work actually  
costs to deliver. Public, so people can find us. Inside it there’s  
**Shop Numbers** , which is members-only, for real revenue and margin talk.
- **Marketing and Customers** — getting work and keeping it.
- **Operations and Scheduling** — the daily grind. Booking, staffing, supplies.
- **Service Areas** — what’s happening in your market specifically.
- **Show Your Work** — before and after, with the process.
- **Ask a Detailer** — questions. Nothing is too basic.

**Before you post anywhere else** , read [the community  
rules](https://detailerexchange.com/t/community-rules). They’re short and there are only a few of them.
